MTB Peljesac and Dubrovnik Adventure
Along the stonewalls of Dingac.

Following the paths of the famous traveller Marco Polo and Napoleon, the conqueror, you will have great fun enjoying dramatical scenery of Peljesac peninsula.Streching for more then 60 km it starts from the mainland where it's connected in the ancient town of Ston. Oldest sea salt field production in Europe dating all the way back to 14 century will mark the start of our tour.
Winding along the old Napoleon road from Ston to Orebić, we will descend towards Viganj, the windsurfing mecca on the Adriatic Coast, changing our wheels for sails (not compulsory). Before we take some time to hang out with windsurfers we will ride singletrack following the ridgeline to descent towards to abandoned submarine docks built by Tito in ex Yugoslavia. These docks that were carved in the sheer rocks provide a very interesting location for a visit, and the brave ones can dive from the top of the tunnels from the height of more then 15 m into crystal clear Adriatic sea.
After a hike and bike adventure to Peak of St. Ilija, highest point of all Croatian islands, we will be greeted by a circular view ranging up to 300 km. Views usually cover all the surrounding countries of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Italy where we can pin pin the peaks some of which are more then 300 km away.
Getting down St. Illias will be a harsh technical downhil that will push the technique of all the riders to a test. We won't be pushing of course as we have many more singletrack sweetness to cover on the day and as well as on the following days.
Our track will take us from Orebic towards Nakovana historical site, neolitical cave where Illyric tribes lived long before the Romans conquered the area.
We will make a break in Orebic to explore the naval museum and enjoy some of the local sea food specialities. Following day our track will follow the southern coastline of the peninsula. Croatia’s largest peninsula is home to the best wine region, Dingac, where we will use old donkey paths to traverse the southern ridgeline. Sheer incline of this part of the tour will take your breath away. Donkeys are having a hard time to focus here, so this will be a tricky part of the ride, requesting being fully focused. Though stopping to take a selfie because of the awesome panorama on the open channel and islands of Korcula and Mljet will be tolerated.
From Peljesac we will take a ride along the borderline with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Strarting point will be an ancient city of Daorson with it's gigantic walls, unique of it's size in this part of the world. Some more ancient walls will be waiting for us at the end of todays ride and these are walls of Dubrovnik. We will stop on the top of Srdj hilltop overlooking the city, offering stunning views on the Dubrovnik. This is where we will start a long descent to the old town on more then 80 hairpin turns, our adventurous ride will end in front of the old city gates.
